5.0 out of 5 stars Les Cowboys encore à l'oeuvre Dec 24 2004
Format:Audio CD

5.0 out of 5 stars Encore un excellent album ! May 7 2005
Format:Audio CD

5.0 out of 5 stars Their best one yet. Dec 5 2004
Format:Audio CD
Up til now, I wasn't especially enthusiastic about this band, but this CD marks a new level of maturity and musical development. They have been one of the most consistently popular bands in Quebec, because they (like Mes Aieux) create some of the best and most exciting concerts to be had anywhere. This CD, however, shows a new complexity of song writing and musical skills, not the least of which is Marie-Annick Lepine's always-interesting approach to fiddle, accordion, and bandoneon, adding an underlying texture for the band's complex neo-traditional style. Their roots are buried deep in quebecois soil, but their sound is truly univeral and richly human.
