First of all, this case is way, way too big! Its bad enough that 17" laptops are large, but this case is easily an inch too big on each side and well over two inches too large on the top. How can this possibly have "MacBook" in the name? I have tried it with a unibody 17" and a 2008 17" and this case is still absurdly oversized.Second, the side pockets have no zipper, they simply close with one very small strip of velcro in the center. Terrible.
Finally, as if all of that were not bad enough, it reeks! Literally, this thing fills the room with a noxious chemical odor that has not diminished after having it out in the open for a day.

If you like the smell of new tires you will love this.... The construction quality was fine and it is well padded BUT it fills your room with a chemical rubber smell. Sent back for a refund.
