About the Author

Michel Lerouet est né à Suresnes en 1966. Il découvre la cuisine avec ses grands-mères. Bon élève, c’est à l’âge de 16 ans qu’il décide de sa destinée et choisit d’entrer à l’école hôtelière. Après un CAP de cuisine, il débute sa formation à l’hôtellerie du Grand Lac tout près de la maison familiale. Michel a besoin des siens, son grand sens de la famille guide toujours ses choix.Il fait ses classes dans cet établissement où il est successivement commis puis chef de partie et second de cuisine. Mais c’est auprès de Guy Savoy et Jean-Paul Duquesnoy en qualité de second de cuisine, qu’il apprend la rigueur, l’exigence, la perfection et surtout la générosité. Toutes ses qualités, il les met en application chez Tante Louise, son style s’installe, sa cuisine devient structurée avec des recettes équilibrées sans jamais d’excès. Ce qu’il aime, ce sont les plats aux rythmes lents qui emportent doucement, où les saveurs se développent progressivement sans jamais bousculer. Pour Ladurée, il offre toute sa détermination et son savoir-faire, veille à la qualité des produits et nous donne le meilleur de lui-même. Sophie Tramier est photographe, spécialisée dans la gastronomie et l’art de vivre. Elle collabore régulièrement à des revues comme ELLE Déco, ELLE à table, Maisons Côté Sud, Maison française, Marie-Claire Idées, etc. Elle a réalisé les photographies de nombreux ouvrages dont Verrines glacées et autres douceurs, Le Canard de Julie chez Marabout, Pêche de haute-mer : 126 recettes autour du monde, Les douceurs de Kenza chez Minerva, Carnet de recettes d’une femme raffinée chez Mango, Magie gourmande au Seuil, Meilleures recettes de soupes chez Flammarion, etc. Elle a photographié le Ladurée – Sucré pour les éditions du Chêne en 2009.

I didn't order this from Amazon like I normally would, but I adore this book. The packaging is lovely and contains three recipes for macarons, which is exactly why I bought the book. Even if you don't bake, it's a great showpiece and the prettiest cookbook I own.

I was expecting this to be a nice book to have since I have been to Laduree's a few times and love it. What a wonderful treat when it arrived!
This book is WONDERFUL! Full of tempting delights with great pictures and the presentation is outstanding. I have not yet tried any recipes but have reviewed some and they appear to be user friendly--however not for the shy cook. I can hardly decide where to start cooking, I can see working my way through the entire book. Even if you are not a cook, it is just lovely to have this book in your collection.
I highly recommend anyone interested in enjoying wonderful food should have this outstanding book.

Great recipes. The photos are not so great in every way you look at them - poor light, poor composition, dull colors. They look like some photos they saved from 20 years ago.

This book is a piece of art itself, but I found it as the book just not for beginners, who just recently started to bake.
For a one who wants to learn how to make macaron this book is definitely not the best choice, there only for recipes of macarons and all of them with french meringue.
