4.0 out of 5 stars An Exhilarating Read, Nov 24 2009
By Flower Girl - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: Lady Janes Ribbons (Paperback)
Wow! What an exciting racing scene! It was like watching NESCAR or Kentucky derby, but a stagecoach on paper. It was vividly written and clearly detailed of how such race would be prepared and relayed; it showed a lot of research done for just this scene. Well done.

I will not going in to the plot, for there are three reviewers have already done wonderful jobs on describing it (under the hardcover edition but with the author of Sandra Wilson). But I would like to explain why I gave only four stars for this almost a perfect book: The love tangle between the hero and heroine (especially Lady Jane) was a bit dragging--considering they were both very determined characters, they were definitely behaved wishy-washy, to the point it was annoying, I couldn't help to wish them to (especially her) to grow up...1/2 star deduction.

Another 1/2 star off for the front cover drawing--This paperback edition reflected none of the story plot, a far different depiction than that of the hardcover edition. Not only that, it even got hero's hair color wrong, which was suppose to be blond. A misfortune indeed (seemed Ms. Heath liked to use "indeed" a lot in this book).

With all that said, I would not want to deter anyone from buying this book. It is that good!
