I enjoyed the first series of Land Girls, but this one made me roll my eyes several times. The sleezy American character, John Fisher, was a very thin character, and so icky, I couldn't understand why Lady Hoxley or her sister were even attracted to him. And Lady Hoxley's sister was so over the top and over acted, it was pathetic. Usually I see outstanding actors and characters on British drama, but I suspect this script was rushed too much and could have used another year of hashing over before going into production. I found more than one of the sub-plots of this series not very believable. If there is a third series, I will probably think twice before watching it. One thing I will say for the British, however; they consistenly produce TV shows with strong female leads and characters portrayed by actresses who look like normal people and not the rail thin, glamour types one generally sees on American TV shows. For that reason, I will continue to be a fan of British drama, even if it disappoints me once in a while.
