Product Description

"All chapters include a concise summary, captivating clinical correlates, and a small number of clinical problems to solve. Answers are provided immediately before a helpful glossary of terms and an extensive index. Diagrams are very well designed and easy to understand, and photographs are clear and relevant." "This is an extremely useful book for any student of human embryology and human anatomy. It retains the economy of text of early editions and beautiful diagrams, supplemented by brief descriptions of newer developments in molecular pathways, relevant clinical correlates, and helpful problems with answers." The Classic July 11 2012
By suzlv - Published on
Format: Paperback Verified Purchase
I used the 2nd edition in med school and liked it then. This new edition continues the theme by giving enough detail without overpowering one with minutiae. The clinical correlations are very useful as well. The drawings are good and have helped me understand what is going on. I love the color in these drawings too, as textbooks in black- and- white now seem drab to me. I have also purchased other Embryology texts- Larsen's and Moore's- but Langman's continues to be the best. Highly recommended.

As the other reviewers have said this book is fantastic and very well put together. I picked it up just to broaden my knowledge (I'm not in school) and I am very very pleased.

This is definitely the best embryology book I have found Oct. 3 2014
By Alec G. - Published on
Format: Paperback Verified Purchase
This is definitely the best embryology book I have found, but it still falls short as a solo resource. Embryology is a tough subject conceptually, and Langman does the best job of putting it into words. Definitely supplement any embryology readings with youtube videos or some form of video to help conceptualize.

Great Embryology Book Sept. 22 2013
By John N Pienta - Published on

This book is well written with lots of pictures demonstrating the key concepts. Human embryology is a very visual science so having a book like this is essential. Embryology is fascinating and a fundamental concept to understand the pathogenesis of many human diseases. I recommend this book.
