A linguistic look at the funniest men of our time. Dec 14 1998
By A Customer - Published on Amazon.com
This book is nothing more than a breakdown of puns and plays on words according to some student at a university. It is more for the person who has everything in the way of the Marx Brothers than for the person who is merely a fan. It is like listening and watching for subliminal and racial messages in a Disney film versus just watching and enjoying it. I found this book to be an analytical, blow-by-blow breakdown of the humor that helped shape an industry and, frankly, it was boring reading for me as a fan. Perhaps a linguistic major, Marx Brothers fan is the one who would appreciate this the most.
