5.0 out of 5 stars Uncut and Uncensored indeed July 5 2013
Format:DVD|Verified Purchase
I love Las Vegas, it was a great show that unfortunately ended at season 5.

This season is fun, pure, unabashed fun. While other reviewers may harp at the comical death of Lara Flynn Boyle's charter, for me it worked. The character could not have continued in the show without a full out, Spartacus style, rebellion on her hands, which, while interesting, would not have fit the shows' style.

This season gives us more depth on our main cast, as well as the expected celeb. guests/musical acts. Heck, I'm by no means a country music fan, but it works. Expect to see some familiar guest stars, and some new ones, who may, or may not (it has been a while since this show was on tv) return.

As to comments about the departure of the Nessa character, while no explicit details are given, she is mentioned several times, and there is character conflict about her disappearance, throughout the entire season. To me, this is more then most shows give the exit of a cast member.

Finally...don't let your kids watch this. While every season bears the 'uncut and uncensored' descriptor, this season actually lives up to the name. There are several scenes spanning a few episodes, that certainly did not make it on network TV. You may get an eye full the first time we enter the Bella Petto ('European' style pool area), and the Vegas off-strip, strip clubs.

All in all, a fun, goofy, well written, directed and acted season, with a decent cliff-hanger ending.

Action packed show. I watched this season 3 of Las Vegas in one weekend. The action in the Casino, combined with the characters personal lives made you feel like you were actually in the Casino. I rate this as equal to Miami Vice. Las Vegas S3Highly recommend this series.

5.0 out of 5 stars Las Vegas: Season 3 Jan. 10 2007

This DVD is great to watch anytime. It's a serious, yet silly, but very funny television series. The casting director did a fabulous job fitting the characters together, because they work so well as a team, and they look great together. They seem so real, and sincere. Their characters appear to be true and caring friends and partners. It's definitely worth buying!

4.0 out of 5 stars This is when it got goofy Jan. 29 2009

In season 3 the new owner is revealed and it's Monica (Lara Flynn Boyle) who's a sexy but mean control freak. Her on the show was some of it's more entertaining points. That is if you ignore her horrible exit from the show. She blows right of the roof and flies right through a shoe store window. Some how the show still had some life left in it after though and it still survived for a year and a half later. If it was gonna get canceled though that was the best time to do it and not by leaving us on the edge of ours seats with a To Be Continued!

Anyway, after Monice died tragically stupid, she's replaced as the new owner by Dean Cain who plays Sam's ex-husband. He's some-what annoying and no where near as entertaining as Lara Flynn Boyle was. While it also bugged me that there's no mention of Nessa after awhile. After she leaves to go see her sister along with Delinda in the 2nd season finale, it's left off with someone after her. They never got into what happened next. In the beginning of season 3, Ed's just seen looking at a picture of her and Mike's talking about how he had a chance with her. So I had a problem with that but it was still an entertaining show with a lot of energy, despite it's flaws. Hell, I wish it was never canceled!

Las Vegas is an awesome show. Season three was a little weak towards the middle, but certainly picks up by the end (plus season four is great again). The box set is great...and lets you catch everything you missed in 2005-2006 (plus there are a few things that had to be cut for TV). Overall a great box and well worth the price (which is low to begin with).
