For any Law and Order fan, this is best of all worlds to be able to view the whole series whenever you want. Watching it this way really gives you a sense of the depth of the writing and the development of the characters. That is what makes it the best is the writing and the storytellers (the actors). Many issues are addressed over the course of 20 years and it struck me how society has not really changed much as far as communities and how they interact. It is a way to get to know a bit about New York City. I also enjoy the odd episode that cross over into other shows like SVU and Homicide Life on the Street. It is a series you can't really get tired of because there is new ideas that come to light each time you watch. If you are a fan, this is the way to go.
