When I first heard the group, I was at the Remsen Barn Feataval in Remsen New York ( 9-27-98 ). It was raining. I walked past the group and was totally captaved by their music. Even thou I was getting soaked, I wouldn't move until they were done. The style of music and the way it was presented was awsome. Each muscian was very professional in the way they did there own part. I am bragging up there music where ever I go.It still amazes me how they produce such full music with as few musicians there were. I purchased a CD while I was there and am checking amazon.com for future recordings. I would like to know a complete list of all the recordings available. Keep up the excellant recordings and good luck with future recordings.

Fans of Indian drumming will not be disappointed with this cd. Years ago I bought the tape and played it to death. Recently I purchased the cd. The best, phenomenal ear and brain food. Trichy Sankaran, what can I say. If you are going to only have one drumming cd in your collection, this would be a good one. As deceptively easy to listen to as the virtiousity is intense.
Now that tabla playing is becoming almost mainstream in world and western pop music, this cd should find a larger audience than it may have in the past. It isn't tabla playing, but, but, wow!
