About the Author
Hazel Soan studied Fine Art at Camberwell School of Art and Crafts and Leicester College of Art, and is now a very successful artist with a growing international reputation. She travels widely in the course of her painting and divides her studio time between London and Cape Town.
Her work has been shown in over 20 solo and numerous mixed exhibitions, and her paintings can be found in collections all over the world. She has her own gallery in West London, which enables collectors to buy her paintings direct from the studio.
Hazel is the author of ‘The Encyclopedia of Watercolour Landscape Techniques ‘ and regularly contributes articles to ‘Artists and Illustrators’ magazine. She has made several successful videos on painting in watercolour, including ‘Watercolour Flower Painting Workshop’, as well as a 7-part TV series entitled ‘A Splash of Colour’, and has often been featured on television and radio both in the UK and abroad.
