Darius Rucker has always been known as the lead singer of Hootie & the Blowfish,but now he's doing it on his own.And not only that,but he's decided to go down the country music route and it definitely has paid off for him.
Learn To Live shows us that Darius is a country boy at heart and from the amount of success he is having now,it's not gonna change anytime soon.And rightly so!
It includes the big hits Don't Think I Don't Think About It and It Won't Be Like This For Long,he really shines on these two fantastic songs.There's also the very catchy All I Want where he's joined by Brad Paisley on electric guitar and While I Still Got The Time which provides us with some great group vocals,which never get old in country music.Some other gems include History In The Making and Forever Road.
He slows things down with songs like the heartfelt I Hope They Get To Me In Time and the lovely ballad If I Had Wings,which has Alison Krauss and Vince Gill on harmonies.
Darius' soulful voice shines with this music and it makes you wonder why he didn't become a country music artist sooner.He wrote all the songs with some of Nashville's best songwriters and it's produced by the fantastic Frank Rogers(Brad Paisley,Josh Turner).So you simply can't go wrong with this beauty.Highly recommended!

I like Darius Rucker's voice, although really strange to hear him in a country setting, still a pleasant surprise. Good album front to back with a nice mix that has something for everybody. My only complaint was there was not enough "western" county for me, and for me that is what makes a country album. That being said, I feel this album almost gets classified as country pop. I do recommend it, I do like it.
