The series itself is great and I would love to purchase every season, but the product is of poor quality. Not only are the disks taped on "flipside" but at least half of the episodes have problems and cannot be seen.(And no, it is not my DVD player that is at fault, I tried to view other disks and everything was OK.)It's too bad, because I really would love that series. But under those conditions I will not purchase the rest of the series.

I've been waiting for shows like The Beaver to make it to DVD! These shows are still funny and great to watch. All 39 episodes from the first year are here, plus the original pilot. EVERY FAMILY SHOULD HAVE THESE SHOWS, so much better than the junk on TV now. My pre-teen girl and my husband loved these episodes (they are new to seeing the show) and we keep watching them! The lines that the kids speak are hilarious. The picture is crisp also. These shows are a great portrait of a bygone era, but the antics of the beaver, his buddies, and the adults (in the program) are classic, and don't date. I will show some of these episodes to my students - (introduce them to some good TV) as I know they will enjoy them! Something here for EVERYBODY! Please, no revisionist history or (politically correct) interpretations of the program-enjoy it for the great show it is-BUY ONE FOR YOUR FRIENDS WITH CHILDREN or your grandkids-or yourself! Then sit down and enjoy! P.S. I happen to like June Cleaver! She's gotten a bad rap...
