i have read the books and the series follow the story line very closely. not high budget but still very good and intertaining. i am very glad to have seen it and have added it to my collection. there is about 25 episodes per season(a lot).

Having read the books that this story was based on, I was more than impressed with the how the books were interpreted. In my opinion this rivals the Lord of the Rings, too bad that it wasn't made into a big screen trilogy. The picture and sound quality were exceptional, my only regret is that I did not purchase it in Blue-ray.However I will not make the same mistake with the second season. Excellent entertainment.

I have read the Sword of Truth books, which I loved and although the television series strays from the books, its worth watching. I'm glad that the series doesn't follow the books because I already know what happens in the books. This is a very entertaining television series and I recommend that everyone give it an opportunity. I actually read the books after watching the first few episodes of season 1. The tv program hooked me on the books. I'm glad that it has been renewed for a second season.

Ordered the DVD's for my wife and the next day they were delevered. All I got was the standard shipping too. That was quite the suprise. DVD's are good according to my wife!!
