Product Description

Two worlds collide in an all-new adventure set in the world of Super NES classic The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. In this newly spun tale, Link transforms into a living painting to cross into a dark, parallel dimension mirroring Hyrule. Conquer the puzzles, traps, and hidden rooms of deadly dungeons to save both worlds from certain doom!

Brought to life in 3D, this beloved, top-down world is the perfect backdrop for a sweeping new tale. Dungeons sink deep below the screen as Link and his attacks pop out, highlighting the nonstop action. The pace is faster than ever, especially since you can swap items on the Nintendo 3DS touch screen. Shoot an arrow, toss a boomerang, bomb a wall, then merge into a painting to slide between two worlds — all in a matter of seconds. With gameplay, visuals, and controls this smooth and consistent, no Zelda adventure has ever been so action-packed.

A Legend of Zelda: A link to the past is one of my all time favourite games, and I bought this new one very excitedly, but, of course, also very hesitantly. I did not want them to mess up my idealistic memories of the original, but I really wanted a continuation to the story.

So, let me tell you, that this game (so far, as I am still not done), has made me very happy. Of all things, one of the things that has made me happiest about the game is it acts and feels like the original, including the fact that they are doing the "from the sky" view, as opposed to "from behind" like the newer games do. This gives it this wonderfully nostalgic feel to it, and I absolutely loved it.

The story itself is just as interesting as the first, the graphics, are bang on to what I want, a nice combination of great graphics from our current technology, and old style from the original.

If you have any one who loves the Legend of Zelda series, this is an absolute must, and even if you aren't a fan of the series, but love Link to the Past, this is an absolute must.

Should you buy? yes, yes, yes, yes, yes.

Fantastic addition to the LoZ world. It feels much like Link to the Past but with a whole different story much like most of the other LoZ games.

If you were ever a fan of the older titles then this will be a real treat for you. However, because it's much like the older titles like SNES,etc. You can easily beat this game in about 8-10 hours? Depending on if you're going for a complete 100% playthrough of the game (Be warned one Heart Fragment is won through a very annoying minigame).

That one minigame is one of my few gripes with this game. Look up Ocotoball for this game and you'll see what I mean.

There is Hero Mode that lets you play the game again where enemies do several times more damage while also unlocking some hidden plot devices. There's also a sub-mission where you rescue transdimensional squid babies...I'm serious....to get the item upgrades and possibly the most OP thing ever once you rescue all 100.

A must have for all LoZ fans.

An excellent throw back to A Link To The Past with updated graphics, challenging puzzles and fantastic gameplay. Kept me occupied for many, many hours and has a great story line with a satisfying ending. A must-have for any Zelda lover - especially someone who played the classic games!

The game itself was one of the more challenging puzzle Zelda games, but easier on the actual combat side. An excellent game with great reply value. Highly recommend!

The game is awesome. However, I tend to suck at these kinds of games and found it a bit easy. Sometimes I would fight bosses and not even lose a single hard of damage. I think everyone should play this in hero mode to have a fun challenge. The painting mode is extremely unique and I love solving puzzles in the dungeons. Because of this game, I've preordered Majora's mask. It's that good and you should really get it.

Art style: on point.
Nostalgia: on point.
Item variety, enemy placement, level of difficulty: on point (at least, my game over's are justified and the game feel is very laid back, which I like for a Zelda title)
I could say a million good things about this game and I'm barely a few hours into the story.

I loved this game almost as much as I loved the original SNES title A Link To The Past. I found it short, but just as short as the original. Instead of light and dark world, it seemed more like dark and darker world. There were a few things added to make the puzzles slightly harder, but that's it.

Super fun! I've only had one play-through so far, but there is no glowing review needed for this game. The dungeons I found especially fun. If you're a Zelda fan, you probably already have it. If you've never played Zelda before, I highly recommend! Totes nostalgia kicking in here. ;)
