3.0 out of 5 stars Cool As Memorabilia, Not As Toy Jan 16 2012

If you or someone you know has visited the Burj Khalifa or enjoys architecture, this is the perfect gift because it is a solid model of the building. If you're buying it for a young person as a toy, however, it is ridiculously simple to construct; most of the building is simply a few stacks of cylindrical pieces. It takes about ten seconds to put together. So this is great if you're looking to build, display, and collect, but not so great if you care about an enjoyable experience putting it together, because it's not worth it if that's your goal.

This one lived up to the Legos standard - excellent. I bought this Architecture Lego as a gift for my teenage son who been building Legos since he could put two together as a toddler. He's now 16. As soon as a new Architecture Lego is released, it goes on his wishlist. This is now his primary Lego focus followed by Star Wars but we don't have a room to dedicate to the size of some of those. He loves them and frankly, while some criticize that they may not be as accurate to the design of the buildings depicted, I think Lego has done an excellent job while maintaining an affordable price. My son is definitely a collector and will continue this passion for life. Thank you Legos.

4.0 out of 5 stars Nice Design May 18 2012

I think this lego set captures the essence of the Burj Khalifa architecture nicely in a compact design. The real tower does look like a series of sweeping steps upward divided into segments much like the model portrays. Quite a creative build since I would not have thought to use the little cylinders to achieve the look. I enjoyed putting it together and like having it on my shelf.
