Here's another great Brickmaster product from DK. This time explore the medieval times with the Castle edition of the Brickmaster collection. With this book, you will also find about 140 bricks as well as 2 mini figures. Instructions are included to guide you to build two castles, a castle jail, the skull castle, the castle chariot, the castle lookout, the castle battle, the castle defense as well as other little things like chariots and such. In all you will have 13 differents models to build.
If you have a child that loves Lego and adores building new things, this is an item to consider. My boys have two of the Brickmaster products so far and they enjoy building the various models over and over. The fact that these products comes with their own Lego bricks and mini figures is fantastic too! Personally, I would have opted for an enemy who is less bony (more like a bad knight sort of things with a black horse) and would have also included a white horse for the good knight in the package.
This particular set is interesting when you are studying the medieval times. It would be a great activity to do for the kids to entertain them while learning more about castles, knights and how living in the medieval times was.
Personally I like the Brickmaster products from DK. You can find one on Star Wars, Atlantis, Ninjago, Castle, Pirate, and City. I applause the originality of the Brickmaster series which always include bricks and mini figures as well. A perfect gift to the special boy or girl in your life!

Not a bad deal, although you can buy a set with a similar amount of Lego for less and download various building ideas from Lego.com.
One serious drawback is that most people would build the Lego items and leave it with other Lego and not return it to the book. In this case, you have a 48 page, 1 inch thick hardcover book that takes up a fair bit of space for that it is. They'd have been better off making a thin booklet and bundling it with a separate box for the Lego pieces.
