Lego Harry Potter, years 1-4, is an exciting game full of humour. While following the main story-line of the books, the creators of this wii video game yet didn't avoid embrassing the innovating and wise initiative of adding bits of humour here and there. If they hadn't, the game would probably not be as much funny and agreable to play. Unlike some of the traditional Harry Potter games - where the player has to follow a specific game line from point A to B - this lego Harry Potter game allows the player to advance in the story at his own pace and according to his own itinerary. In fact, each level is composed of a series of puzzles to solve, in which the characters also collect coins, bricks, and other objects. These objects can be used as tolkiens in exchange to new features that can be found in the Diagon Alley level. There are no "fatal-leading-to-gameover deaths" in this game. If your character loses its lives on a level, he simply loses some coins, which he can collect back in the level. Whenever you get bored seeing your character casting the same redundant spells, you can always go back to Diagon Alley and buy new spells with the coins accumulated throughout the game. At the end of each level, your character is back to Hogwarts' interiors. Between the levels, feel free to walk inside the castle and explore every little square-inch of space. The more spells you cast on objects, the more coins, bricks, and other useful objects you get. When you feel ready to go on to the next level, simply follow the ghost of Gryffindor (Nearly-headless Nick).
To sum up, Lego Harry potter, years 1-4, is a cool, friendly, and innovative game that will provide Harry Potter fans with hours of pleasure and laugh. As for the players new to the Harry Potter series, this game is a truly successful mean of introducing you to the legendary wizard hero!
