I just got my Lego Star Wars The Visual Dictionary and I am VERY impressed!
First, you can't go wrong with this purchase because it comes with a RARE Luke Skywalker minifig that will be a collector item in a few years when you can't find this book anywhere. Amazon is already sold out of it in it's first day of shipping!
I am a big collector of Star Wars Lego, and this book is everything I wanted to see in a book on the subject. And it also includes some information on the creators of the Star Wars line up, how they design and come up with the ideas, and even some info on the Lego SW Community and pictures of people's custom creations that they have done from their imagination. It will blow you away! A 5'5" Han Solo in Carbonite. An 8', 150lbs Venator Cruiser. (The book does have a few mis-calculations with names of items, but only a few and very small.)
Unfortunately it doesn't show everything in the Star Wars Lego line, only a few are missing however, but it is well worth it to add this to your collection. But I do warn you:
WARNING: Showing this to your young child will result in pandamonium and mayhem of begging, pleading and perhaps crying when you find out that you can't get, or afford, some of the lego sets and minifigs in the book. Once Lego discontinues their sets, sometimes the price doubles in value because of the rare parts or minifigs. Most minifigs will cost you $10+ (some popular ones are more then $20 each minifig!), and can only be found on internet auction websites, lego collector sites or retail sites. Some of the bigger Lego sets are over $100.
But there are still plenty of Legos to find and give to your kids or Adult Fans Of Lego.
So this book is a MUST for anyone who likes Star Wars, Lego or both! Just don't drool over the pages to much. ;)
