About the Author
JAN KJARSTAD, born in 1963, has written a string of novels, short stories and essays. His books are translated into several languages and he has received a number of literary prizes. BIRGIT BJERCK, born in 1947, is editor-in-chief at the Norwegian publishing house Pax. She mainly works on translated fiction. HARALD BACHE-WIIG is a distinguished scholar and critic.
