About the Author

Poète, romancière et essayiste, Madeleine Gagnon a écrit une quarantaine d'ouvrages depuis 1968. En 1991, elle a reçu le Prix du Gouverneur général du Canada pour son livre Chant pour un Québec lointain et, en 2002, le prix Athanase-David pour l'ensemble de son œuvre. En 2007 paraît à l'Hexagone À l'ombre des mots. Poèmes 1964-2006, une rétrospective de ses textes poétiques.Madeleine Gagnon est membre de l'Académie des lettres du Québec.
