This is a collection of short articles on about 125 Hudson's Bay Company trading posts, most of which were visited by the author and her husband. About a third of the book describes their travels which makes good light reading. The rest is solid history. The information is available in many scattered sources, but it is useful to have it all in one place. A few of her details contradict other sources. Few people would want to read it straight through, but any library of Canadian history would probably want a copy.
