About the Author

Lara Bergen is the author of more than one hundred children's books. She lives in New York City with her husband and two kids--Sydney and Parker.

David Shannon has written and illustrated numerous award winning picture books including Duck on a Bike, the Caldecott Honor Book No David!, How I Learned to be a Pirate, and Good Boy Fergus. He is also one of the collaborative illustrators in Jon Scieszka's Trucktown series. David lives with his wife and his daughter in Los Angeles.

We bought this book only because our son saw "Payloader Pete" in another book and we had to have our own "Payloader Pete" book!! We love it and read it all the time!!

I bought most of the Trucktown books for my 5 year old Grandson. He loves them!!! He not only has be read them over and over to him, but he is learning how to read them now himself. He even embellishes on the stories. Did I mention he loves them???
