Book Description

Liberals of both parties in America promote “democracy” and the populace seems to have no understanding of why this Nation’s birth was as a Republic, and that it created freedom and prosperity. . .

The Founders of this great Country knew that unchecked, a ruling majority (a democracy) could be just as tyrannical as any dictator, and for that reason they designed a “limited” government, which is defined as a Republic. . .

During the last century, the word LIBERTY was replaced by the catch-word DEMOCRACY. As a result, people now mistakenly believe that “democracy” is the underlying principle of American government. In fact, a REPUBLIC protects the minority while a democracy does not. A democracy allows the “majority” to rule. . .

George Washington warned us: “A primary object. . .should be the education of our youth in the science of government. In a Republic, what. . .more pressing. . .than communicating it to those who are the future guardians of the liberties of the country.”

REPUBLIC is defined: A political order in which the supreme power lies in a body of citizens who are entitled to vote for officers and representatives responsible to them. . .

LIBERAL is defined in several ways: 1. Tolerant of the ideas and behavior of others; broad-minded. 2. Tending to give freely; generous: a liberal benefactor. 3. Not strict or literal; loose or approximate. . .

And in applying the liberal interpretation of how to live life and how to govern, our nation has moved far away from what the Founding Fathers knew would guarantee us life, liberty, and the freedom to be an individual. . .

Those who support Liberalism have learned ways to tap into the hearts of American citizens to convince them to support ideals and actions that work against the very freedoms our forefathers fought and died for. Many of our citizens are well intentioned and do not realize how their caring minds and emotions have been played with to think as a "liberal" when, in fact, in their own lives, they find success in well thought out conservative choices. . .

It is time to re-educate America. . . Al Snow, Sr is the author of Exceptional Profile of Courage: The United Nations vs. American Liberty. He worked as a Contract Administrator on the Apollo Space Program from 1962 to 1970 (Man on the Moon July 20th 1969), and as a Director of Engineering and owner of a Nutritional Manufacturing Company in St. George, Utah, retiring in 2003.

About the Author

Al Snow, Sr, a city councilman of LaVerkin, Utah, from January 2000 to January 2004, drafted the first United Nations Free Zone Ordinance, introduced it to the LaVerkin City Council and it passed by a 3-2 vote on July 4, 2001, making the City of LaVerkin, Utah, the first city in the United States, in fact the World, to be a U. N. Free Zone. He is the author of Exceptional Profile of Courage: The United Nations vs American Liberty.

In November 2001 three new city councilmen were elected to the LaVerkin City Council, making the council pro-United Nations. On January 16, 2002, the new City Council repealed the U.N. Free Zone Ordinance by a 4-1 vote. It was placed on the ballot on November 4, 2003, and defeated with a vote of 497 to 321, with only 43% of the citizens of LaVerkin voting

1.0 out of 5 stars Mr. Snow is half right..., Aug 11 2005
By J. Henry - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: Liberalitis: A Thinking Disorder Destroying America (Paperback)
If you're a conservative, as am I, you'll have no problem with Mr. Snow's politics. He raises legitimate concerns about the spread of socialist thinking in America, describing it as a "mind virus." Given the pathogenicity of the leftist agenda, the term is apt.

However, Mr. Snow falls victim to pop psychology, specifically the heresy that positive thinking alone effects change in our lives, as opposed to reflection, hard work, and persistence. His introductory discussion of the unseen "vibrations" all around us is as confusing as it is disturbing. Come to think of it, THAT may be a mind virus.

Finally, nearly half the book is devoted to a reprinting of the United Nations Charter and the Humanist Manifestos I and II, which are easily obtained online; no need to pay $16.95 for them. If Mr. Snow stuck to politics and writing original material, his readers would benefit greatly.

5.0 out of 5 stars A very informative book, take the Liberal-itis test!, Oct 12 2004
By Reading ama Possible "Dan" - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: Liberalitis: A Thinking Disorder Destroying America (Paperback)
This book is a great book to help Americans learn how to make good decisions in their lives. The reader will learn how to think and use their brain instead of just going with whatever emotion you happen to be feeling. The book teaches you how your brain works and how the liberals try to trick you into believing what they say is right. It is fun to take the Liberal-itis test and see where you stand. The book is very well thought out and goes very deep into how the mind works. "Liberal-itis" is a fun and interesting read. The book also includes the United Nations Charter so the reader can see what the U.N. is all about.
