Like "Pushing Daisies", "Life" was a brilliant piece of work, well written, expertly acted.
And then NBC got suicidal...again. To make matters worse, the filmed conclusion of the show is missing - the producers were a lot smarter than the NBC people - a deadground hog is a lot smarter - and they wrote a concluding program. It is talked about as if here, but it isn't. You see, NBC never ran it. So it wasn't made available as part of the Second Season. As so often the case, television screwed up a good show by leaving it hanging when there was no need to do so. Maybe they think we'll all believe that it was a dream like the "Dallas" disaster - now, if only they had had to 'think'. (Someone get them a dictionary...)

But it is a good show, and in a more perfect world someone else would have picked it up and run it for a few more years. It is most watchable, a neat puzzle inside a maze, well done, and deserving of a better treatment than given here.

So go buy some fresh fruit, sit back, and enjoy what they have left us with. It certainly beats what they replaced it with...and NBC got just what NBC deserved to get.

I enjoy this series. It starts with a cop who was framed and imprisoned for 12 years for murder. He receives a cash settlement - but he returns to work as a detective. He does not know who was in on the frame so hard to trust his brother officers and the other cops aren't very trusting as he is an ex-con. Plus he read about Zen in prison so has these "zennish" comments and a quirky way of viewing and reacting to events. I really hope this series continues!

Too bad they cancelled this show because it definitely would be on my absolutely watch list. Very interesting and comical at the same time.

I got hooked on this show with season one. This season had a little less zen but was still very good. I thought they rushed to tie up the ending because they weren't being renewed. All in all a great original show.

Love Damien Lewis in this series which unfortunately was cancelled after the second season. We watch both seasons over and over and constantly regret that we can't get more of Charlie and his cohorts.

I live in Canada & no where did it say clearly that this product was coming from Europe. As such it is the wrong region code & I cannot play the DVD. Not Happy at all.
