A surprisingly good show. From the beginning, the quality of the writing built around Cruz was excellent. Each show helped build the background storyline while providing thoroughly enjoyable individual episodes, and the surrounding characters grew steadily through the season. Season 2 only proved how good the writing was, building to a season finale that left us hungering for Season 3. We now feel completely let down by the network. How could anyone at NBC (with troubled ratings) dump this show from their lineup. And they wonder why people are turning them off and heading for the cable channels that support good writing. We will purchase the first two seasons and hope the network sees both reviews like this, as well as the interest in the first two seasons on DVD, and revisit the show (albeit this is pretty unlikely as the stars and producers have moved on).
