5.0 out of 5 stars Reflecting & Forging ahead, Oct 7 2003

(REAL NAME)
This review is from: Life's a Journey-Not a Sprint: Navigating Life's Challenges and Finding Your Pathway to Success (Paperback)
I found "Life's A Journey Not A Sprint" quite a useful book. With almost 20 years of corporate experience under my belt, I have learned that you have to constantly be open to re-inventing yourself all the while keeping your eye on your goals. In this process one must reflect for greater meaning and yet have the energy, persistence and tenacity to forge ahead. This book provided many useful hands on tactics to do just these things. This is not often found in "life management/self-help" books.( especially the section on diet with easy recipes). Further, I also found reading the wide variety of comments from interviewers across all walks of life and ages quite inspiring.

I am looking forward to more work from Ms. Lewis-Hall including calendars, journals,cd's etc. to help us stay focused on our journey.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Guide For Success, Oct 2 2003
By
Noahsmommy (New Jersey, United States) - See all my reviews
Life's A Journey-Not A Sprint is a wonderful addition to my collection of "life supporting" books. Many of the paths recommended in Ms. Lewis-Halls book have helped make my life as a working mother much easier. It is often hard to juggle life's challenges. The practical ideas in this book have made my life easier and more rewarding. I recommend this book to any person trying to navigate their way to success. Kudos to Mrs. Lewis-Hall I await the next book in the journey.

1.0 out of 5 stars Get Over Yourself, Aug 18 2003
By A Customer
I made the mistake of buying this book thinking there would be some nuggets of value-added information inside. What a waste! This book underscores what is the current status of the publishing industry - anyone can get a book published! Technology and distribution these days allow publishers to print fewer copies of a book and still be profitable. Regardless of that however, it amazes me that Ms. Hall, a mid-aged, back-up anchor/reporter on an infrequently watched channel, CNBC, would be so presumptuous to think she can give advise on life! Give me a break! She obviously has lower standards as to what "success" is than most people. Case in point, she lists some award in her biography attained in college??? Digging pretty deep Ms. Hall.
