So begins "Light and Shadow", a book about the complicated life of an isolated, yet hopeful, photographer. Martin overcomes many obstacles blocking him from success in his life, but along the way, he meets a retired teacher who notices his photographic ability. Encouraged by his new friend, he nutures this talent, while learning lessons drawn from his hobby about life, respect, and God.

I would most recommend this book for teens 12-15.
