A big disappointment for me, Sep 19 2007
By B. Chang - Published on Amazon.com
Ce commentaire est de: Lillian Too's 168 Feng Shui Ways to a Calm and Happy Life (Paperback)
I've been a faithful reader of Lillian's books and I owned several of her books. However, this book is a big disappointment for me. There are many mistakes made in term of pointing out the water and mountain star locations. In addition, it is fairly confusing for me about whether it is a good idea to change the chi of our house for the new "8" period. In one of her previous books, she did suggest not to change houses facing certain directions to new period since these "7" period houses will have worse flying star charts if you transform them to new "8" period flying star chart. However, in this book, she suggests that every house should change in order to benefit the chi from the new period. This is so inconsistent and confusing. In addition, there is not much discussion about flying start charts for new "8" period, and it is what I am looking for. I feel like this is a totally waste of money to get this book. I don't know whether I should continue to buy her books or not if her next book has the same quality.

Lillian Too Fosters Tranquility and Harmony for a Happy Life in Your Home, Dec 13 2009
By April Braswell "Your Romance Coach" - Published on Amazon.com
Ce commentaire est de: Lillian Too's 168 Feng Shui Ways to a Calm and Happy Life (Paperback)
As the most prolific author on Feng Shui in the 21st century, Lillian Too continues in her "168 Feng Shui Ways to..." Series of titles to focus especially on the attributes of a Harmonious, Tranquil, and Happy Home Life.
The person before me who had difficulty with the Period 7 and Period 8 houses, Ms. Too covers that quite thoroughly in Flying Star Feng Shui for Period 8. I hope that helps you. The Scope of this book is not Period 8, although she does cover that a great deal with a number of the 168 Tips. However, this book covers quite a variety of topics for family life.
A cornerstone of Ms. Too's "168 Feng Shui Ways to..." Series of titles indeed is their abundance of images to provide examples to illustrate and demonstrate her lessons, fostering our greater and clearer learning. 168 Feng Shui Ways to a Calm & Happy Life maintains that, and is richly and beautifully illustrated. Her consistently providing so many photographs indeed, has been helping me to cultivate my on "Feng Shui Eye" which Ms. Too repeatedly recommends people do. She demystifies Feng Shui a great deal by striving to explain things in plain English rather than using a lot of the Chinese terminology which is Feng Shui jargon.
Since the Publisher has not provided it, I will provide you here with a high level view of the Table of Contents (TOC), of course, without the granular detail of the names of all the 168 Tips out of respect for Ms. Too and her intellectual property.

*CHAPTER THREE*

Feng Shui For Marriage Happiness
I have to say, I found Ms. Too's introduction provided such a wonderful philosophy and perspective on Feng Shui that reading even just those 3 pages would have been worth the whole price of the book. Additionally, she reiterates that Feng Shui is Chinese, so she provides Chinese remedies but that any may use an image from their own culture with similar characteristics to good benefit. So, this is not just an encouragement to go purchase a lot of Chinese tchotchkes.
A wonderful addition to your growing Feng Shui library. Lillian Too makes Feng Shui easy.

I could not put this book down! And have read it 2-3 times throughout. Great suggestions, easy to understand with beautiful illustrations and how to implement. A definite must for beginners through to experienced Feng Shui enthusiasts. Also excellent updates on Period 8. Thank You Lillian for another fantastic tool.
