About the Author
Francine Rivers began her literary career at the University of Nevada, Reno, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and journalism. From 1976 to 1985, she had a successful writing career in the general market, and her books were highly acclaimed by readers and reviewers. Although raised in a religious home, Francine did not truly encounter Christ until later in life, when she was already a wife, a mother of three, and an established romance novelist.
Francine and her husband, Rick, live in Northern California and enjoy the time spent with their three grown children and every opportunity to spoil their grandchildren.

I have difficulty finding time to read, but enjoy listening to audiobooks as I fold laundry. Francine Rivers's books are entertaining and set my mind on beneficial things. I would certainly recommend this series. The recording is well done and the books well written.

If it is hard for you to open the bible, these books are amazing stories that stimulate your interest in learning the Truth. Rivers has a wonderful sense of storytelling that elicits you and grabs your attention bringing me right into the heart of the historical times. I am a devout Christian and was given one of her books when I was Baptised at 39. I had never read the Bible, raised Jewish, and have now read most of it and am a seeker of God's heart. When I read Rivers books, I am part of the relationships that she brings to life: the heartache, the hopes, the heroes and the light of the wisdom learned through scripture. These women touched my heart and soul. I hoped for them, and then , I realized they are all me! I can't help but open the Bible and want to learn what is in it, after learning how our Mighty Lord always "saves" those that revere Him.No matter what religion you are, you learn from opening the Bible about our history and how to live a good, Godly life. These books will help motivate you in a way that something else might not have. |
