This product will not run on my Windows 7 Ultimate edition. It fails consistently to install. It is certified for Vista ONLY.Wasted three hours last night = avoid this one at any price.

I've been experiencing sporadic problems with this product from day one. I sent multiple e-mails to the manufacturer for assistance, but to no avail. For unknown reasons, Linksys has not responded to any of my electronic messages... and trying to reach this company by telephone is also a problem.

First off Id like to say that the 1 star reviews seem like the buyers don't know what they're doing.As long as the latest drivers are downloaded there is no problems with this product. I had only had a couple of disconnects while playing games before I updated the drivers, But I was also using atts 2wire Modem at the time so alot of variables were still at play. With that said. Ive had mine for over a year purchased from BestBuy for around 80$, Money well spent. Before I bought this product I tried a netgear PCI card which was a huge mistake, I had alot of problems with it and the guy from NETGEAR's Costumer service spoke very poor english up until the point were he insulted me calling me and idiot when I was having trouble understanding what he was saying. This product was plug and play and had I needed customer service from Linksys (Which is 24/7) I would have gotten an attendant that makes me feel accomplished after hanging up the phone. It took me only 10 minutes to connect the software included is very straight forward. Install a program, Accept some terms, Click next to install drivers and about 2 minutes later youre good to go! Comes with the stick itself a usb cord attached to a stand the you can plug into thats about 4-5' in length. This is great because the back of your computer doesnt have to be clustered up with bulky contraptions and antennas like the most other usb network adapters. Pros: N band is awesome if you have the proper modem/router that can utilize it. Blinking green Led lets you know when youre connected Portability you can take this anywhere and use it on any number of devices as long as you install the drivers aswell very handy The Usb cord and stand as stated above this allows you to move the antenna around your room to a degree to pick up optimal signal Looks good not square and ugly Nice brand Cons: Price is a little higher than I would have liked. But youre paying extra for the USBILITY Right now its about 87 degrees in my house and the device is hot to the touch not really a problem but it might be in any harsher environments. I think that is all, I hope I covered everything and I apologize for my bad grammar :)

Software is intrusive and starts few services... Why can't it be simple and effective. I don't want to install stuff that's not needed; just want to use it as a wifi n adapter, nothing else.
