I am also sooo sad this show is over! I am in love with it!! it has love, sex, scandal, and more! I have also developed a love for the three lead characters, I feel that most women would relate to in one way or another.

I never watched this series when it was on tv, but really enjoyed it. The last epsiode seemed like it should not of ended like it did. The show has been canceled so, it left some unanswered questions of what was the out come of some of the characters. So it made me feel like i was left hanging.

HASH(0xa24ce888) out of 5 stars Brilliant!!! May 30 2009

I just don't get it - maybe there is something wrong with me but this show is brilliant - how does it get the axe? I am writing from Australia and I think this is one of the best shows to come out in the last five years

I am really saddened that this show has been axed - I loved it - please please bring it back. How can we get it back? The actress who plays Victory Ford is sensational

For those who like stories about real-life, romance, Heartache, Determination and real-life values this is the show for you. Says something about society that such a "real" show gets the axe.

HASH(0xa1e2ece4) out of 5 stars Lipstick Jungle - Season 2 March 8 2010
By Geminigirl - Published on Amazon.com
Format: DVD
This season gave the writers a little more time to flesh out the characters and I'm sorry that the show got canceled before it could truly get off the ground.

I enjoyed the Brooke Shields' character & storyline the most and thought that she was great in the role of a woman who defined herself by her career only to lose it. The side stories of her husband's career rebirth & daughter's rebellion were a little predictable but somewhat interesting.

I was most surprised by how much I liked the character, Nico as portrayed by Kim Raver. I've commented before about my dislike for her on other shows but she was excellent on this show as the driven magazine editor who discovers an unpleasant secret about her husband after he suffers a heart attack. Her journey of discovery as an older woman in a relationship with a younger man and subsequent attraction to her boss made me anticipate what was going to happen in her life.

I also grew to like Lindsey Price in her portrayal of struggling designer, Victory Ford. I found myself rooting for her as she struggled to regain her good name in the fickle fashion industry. I did not however care about her love life as the actress had no chemistry with either leading man she was paired with so I found myself fast forwarding through those scenes - especially those with Andrew McCarthy.

All in all, I liked this series as brief as it was and would recommend purchasing it - especially given the reasonable price point.

Season 2 was very good. Even though it ended, I thought that the actresses played their characters very well. It's a shame that we will never see what happens to Victory & her man...Oh well, I guess I'll have to imagine a different ending everytime I watch this DVD. The DVD came very well packaged from the seller & vacuum sealed. The quality of the DVD was good.

HASH(0xa2cb9654) out of 5 stars Sorry to see it end July 25 2009

I am so disappointed that this show was cancelled. It was sexy, chic and totally addictive - I watched seasons 1 and 2 in a few nights. I love all of the actors and find it hard to believe that it did not appeal to a larger fan base. All the shows these days seem to be about someone with a hidden talent or super ability or detective based. So I really though that the show was different. It is possible that it could be picked up by Lifetime or some other movie network?

HASH(0xa2205da4) out of 5 stars Smart, Funny, Sexy, a GREAT show Aug. 19 2009

This show was a shining light among a plethora of bland reality fare and numerous incarnations of lawyers, cops, and forensics shows. The writing was intelligent and funny and the show was stunning to watch. The plot moved along quickly, with never a dull moment, and the acting was excellent, from industry-wise Brooke Shields to the youngest of the friends, Lindsay Price. And it was so good to see Andrew McCarthy in a role with some meat on it. All in all, it was the best hour of TV for women of all ages for two short seasons. So of COURSE, NBC canceled it before it could develop the following all its fans KNOW it would have.

As a former professional in the music industry, I found the lives and problems of Wendy and Nico to be very realistic, and as a refugee from that industry to the creative arts, I felt the same way about the role of Victory. I LOVE this show. I sure wish NBC would give it another chance.

If you love this show too, please sign the online petition to bring it back. You can find it by searching for Lipstick Jungle Season 3 on Bing, and clicking on the link that reads: Lipstick Jungle: NBC "Cancels" Brooke Shields TV Show, No Season ...

And if you haven't seen it, take a chance. I'd be willing to bet you'll love it, too.
