The sexy and stylish ladies of Lipstick Jungle are back and better than ever in every fabulous episode from the bold second season. Reunite with Wendy (Brooke Shields), a fiercely ambitious and funny woman trying to balance kids and a career; Nico (Kim Raver), the sassy editor-in-chief intent on becoming CEO; and Victory (Lindsay Price), a fashion designer who’s a sensation on and off of the catwalk. Through all their relatable struggles and successes, they’ll discover that in this Jungle, you better have friends to watch your back. From the author of the best-selling novel Sex and the City and co-starring Robert Buckley, Andrew McCarthy, Paul Blackthorne, David Norona and guest stars Rosie Perez (Pineapple Express), Mary Tyler Moore (The Mary Tyler Moore Show) and Rosanna Arquette (After Hours), it’s the empowering and undeniably classy series that critics rave is “high drama in high heels” (TV Guide).
I am also sooo sad this show is over! I am in love with it!! it has love, sex, scandal, and more! I have also developed a love for the three lead characters, I feel that most women would relate to in one way or another.
I never watched this series when it was on tv, but really enjoyed it. The last epsiode seemed like it should not of ended like it did. The show has been canceled so, it left some unanswered questions of what was the out come of some of the characters. So it made me feel like i was left hanging.

I just don't get it - maybe there is something wrong with me but this show is brilliant - how does it get the axe? I am writing from Australia and I think this is one of the best shows to come out in the last five years
I am really saddened that this show has been axed - I loved it - please please bring it back. How can we get it back? The actress who plays Victory Ford is sensational
For those who like stories about real-life, romance, Heartache, Determination and real-life values this is the show for you. Says something about society that such a "real" show gets the axe.

4.0 out of 5 starsLipstick Jungle - Season 2March 8 2010

This season gave the writers a little more time to flesh out the characters and I'm sorry that the show got canceled before it could truly get off the ground.
I enjoyed the Brooke Shields' character & storyline the most and thought that she was great in the role of a woman who defined herself by her career only to lose it. The side stories of her husband's career rebirth & daughter's rebellion were a little predictable but somewhat interesting.
I was most surprised by how much I liked the character, Nico as portrayed by Kim Raver. I've commented before about my dislike for her on other shows but she was excellent on this show as the driven magazine editor who discovers an unpleasant secret about her husband after he suffers a heart attack. Her journey of discovery as an older woman in a relationship with a younger man and subsequent attraction to her boss made me anticipate what was going to happen in her life.
I also grew to like Lindsey Price in her portrayal of struggling designer, Victory Ford. I found myself rooting for her as she struggled to regain her good name in the fickle fashion industry. I did not however care about her love life as the actress had no chemistry with either leading man she was paired with so I found myself fast forwarding through those scenes - especially those with Andrew McCarthy.
All in all, I liked this series as brief as it was and would recommend purchasing it - especially given the reasonable price point.

Season 2 was very good. Even though it ended, I thought that the actresses played their characters very well. It's a shame that we will never see what happens to Victory & her man...Oh well, I guess I'll have to imagine a different ending everytime I watch this DVD. The DVD came very well packaged from the seller & vacuum sealed. The quality of the DVD was good.
