5.0 out of 5 stars Great Resource For New Teachers March 30 2009
Format:Paperback
This book is full of amazing ideas that support a strong literacy program. The text is enhanced by strong visual images that give you a concrete understanding of what the author is expressing. As a new teacher I found this book very helpful within my classroom. It also has some great blackline masters at the back of the book.

5.0 out of 5 stars LOVED IT April 18 2009
By mari - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
This book was the book I used to rearrange and set up my classroom. As a fairly new teacher I read the book and mixed her ideas and mine to create my classroom. I am so happy I purchased this book. I am even planning to purchase another book becuase my colleagues take the book from me all the time.

4.0 out of 5 stars Literacy Centers in Photographs Dec 22 2008
By B. A. Tillman - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
This book is perfect if you are being pressured to create literacy centers but have no idea how to get started. The ideas include materials that are inexpensive and that can be found in the classroom already. It is worth the few bucks.

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome! May 20 2012
By Erica L. Jackson - Published on Amazon.com

This book is great for any brand new or "newish" teacher who needs some ideas! As we all know centers are a necessity in the primary classroom. I have taken many ideas from this book and manipulated them to fit into my kindergarten intensive class!

5.0 out of 5 stars The Title says it all May 6 2014
By B. Hudson - Published on Amazon.com

I bought this book just a few weeks before a friend, a seasoned professional, got it for me. The idea of "picturing" expectations for children through anchor charts is awesome.

4.0 out of 5 stars A Great Start Sept. 25 2011
By GooseCreeker - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
The photos and sidebars are very helpful; not just for new teachers but for seasoned veteran teachers as well. There are good suggestions for class and material management. I plan to order several more copies for our campus professional library. Ms. Campo-Stallone borrowed ideas, gathered photos and published a great resource- I just wish she had listed and acknowledged her sources rather than thanking her husband, editor and school district.
