This is the second volume of short stories from [...]. This time we are not given information about how these 16 stories were chosen in this collection in the forward by Marilyn Jaye Lewis. This lack of detail was my only disappointment of the book.
Compared to the first volume, these stories are more fine-tuned, have more complex characters, and do not include a lot of unnecessary fluff and roughness that I find very common in online erotica. There are amusing stories such as "The Thingy" by Cockatoo, "Intervention" by Steve Wingert, and "We're Not Gay" by Inward Bound. There are romantic pieces like "Blackberry Autumn" by Risia Skye, "The Favor" by Seneca, and "Irish Eyes" by Colleen Thomas. There are also edgy stories that tackle death, racism and the reliance on technology in works by Max Sebastian, KillerMuffin, Marguerite Colson.
The stories in this volume include heterosexual couples and foursomes, lesbian dynamics, and gay pairings. They run from the simply straight forward romantic scenario to a generational trends, through role-playing and into violence. In short, there is something for everyone which does not mean you will enjoy them all but it is likely you'll enjoy some of the stories and that's the best you can hope for in any anthology of fiction.
