Absolutely the sweetest book I've read to my daughter, Aug 7 2010

I received this book as a 1st birthday present for my little daughter. I have been reading it to her since then; she is now 2 1/2 and helps me read it. She knows the tenor and rhyme of the words and can finish each section with the animal or plant that she knows rhymes and ends the sentence. It is, as well, so sweet at the end of the book with the reflection in the tide pool. Even at 9:00, when her eyes droop, she looks for herself. But to end the book with Faretheewell is the icing in the cake. I love to read this as the last book before she goes to bed with that salutation. I wish she would write more like this because, again, it is just so sweet.

This was a pleasent suprise. I've always enjoyed Sharon Lovejoys' books but now I wish she had written and illustrated more childrens books as well. This book introduces names of lots of small critters and a lot of uncommon color names in an enjoyable rhythmic expirence. This is definately at the top on my list of favorites.

This is a very pretty, sweet book that I'm enjoying reading to my 4 year old son. Magical and down to earth at the same time.
