The sound of Two Hours Traffic is essentially ultra catchy folk pop-rock. While the emphasis is generally more on the "rock" than the "folk", there's nothing hard core about them. This album has an upbeat but softer sound with several tracks that would surely get airplay in the U.S. if the band were better known (and if terrestrial radio weren't firmly in clutches of corporate suits). In particular, Nighthawks, Heroes of the Sidewalk, Jezebel, and Backseat Sweetheart are songs many will like to listen to over and over. They're presently streaming the album in its entirety on their website, so rather than me going on with a lengthy description you can Google the band's name and give a listen for yourself.
This Canadian band is worth the little extra effort you need to expend to get your hands on their stuff. At the time of this writing the cd's not yet available directly from Amazon, but you can get it pretty reasonably from some of its partners or other online outlets.
