Little Rascals - Movie [Import]
Kids may enjoy the slapstick of this modern reworking of the old Our Gang comedies, but parents who grew up watching them on TV (or grandparents who saw them at theaters) will wonder why anyone would want to be involved in this pathetic remake. Directed by Penelope Spheeris, the film takes look-alike kids and casts them as Spanky, Alfalfa, Buckwheat, and the rest, minus any sense of what made the old Hal Roach comedies funny. Instead of kids being kids, these are kids doing shtick while recycling such old bits as the He-Man Woman Haters Club, the kids' go-cart race, and Spanky and Alfalfa dressing as girls. Devoid of charm or wit. --Marshall Fine --This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.

Try to find the originals on video if you can.
Nonetheless it's a wonderful movie for all ages. You can see how kids their age see the world. They are growing up and learn that they can't hate women any longer.
About the movie, Alfalfa likes a girl named Darla, and tries to win her heart back from the conceited Waldo.
The clubhouse is burnt down because of a picnic and they are trying to find a way to raise money to build a new one. And Alfalfa is still going after Darla.
It's all in a kid's view and crazy antics along the way. You'll love the movie, and the cute little rascals.

Purchased as a gift for young grandson. Good video quality. Replayed over and over resulting in hours of delighted squeals. That says it all.Published 13 months ago by DJ
My granddaughters loved this movie. My kids watched the old little rascals when they were young. Kids love them and they are funny.Published 15 months ago by Cindy Worden
