This is how Anthony is meant to be heard! If I might be bold enough to "Testify" the fact that this is the best Anthony Gomes release so far.......and I've already raved about the former releases! A great set of mostly new and unreleased material, starts roaring out of the gate right after "countdown". An uplifting blues/rock revival will knock any case of the blues right out of you! Faves include "When The Right Woman", Anthony Zep's "Heartbreaker", "Up 2 Zero", "Wings of a Song" and "Testify".

I've been following this guy's career for almost 6 years now and have been lucky enough to catch over a dozen live shows. Believe what you read in all the other reviews about the man's talents, he has definitely got it goin' on...but, the one thing that has impressed me the most over the years is the fact that I have never seen him 'take a night off' and turn in a sub-par performance. Trust me, after winessing a Gomes show first-hand, you WILL be on your feet buying into his belief that music can change the world, one rocking soul at a time."Live" perfectly captures all of the intensity and emotion of a night with Gomes and his rock-solid group of sidemen. Nevermind the fact that I dig the band...this is one of the best live recordings I've ever had the pleasure to listen to. This CD was long-awaited and most definitely does not disappoint. Super high energy to say the least.Anthony Gomes shreds on his axe like no other.True of every live show I have witnessed.This disc is the rock, blues, and funk you expect from AG.Pulling it all from the depths of his soul and letting it flow from his finger tips and lips comes the vibe that makes you move on your feet or rock in your seat!Live is the next best thing to being there in person!With the accompaniment of Mr. bass to the bone Biscuit Miller,Denis Palatin (AKA Frenchy)and his bitch'n beat plus Hammer'n the ivories, Todd Hamric AKA Church.Makes this spinner even more of a collectible!Definitely add this one to the rack. Now you will understand what it means to be "Anthonized"! Then grab a friend and head for a show to experience "LIVE" up close and personal.Give it a try. Get Anthotized! Hell yeah!!!!
