From there I progressed to the next song... and the next. With few exceptions, it seemed that each successive song could hold my interest for hours.
Sung in the typical "kölner dialekt", the words are sometimes tough to understand, but the music is stunning! From beginning to end this album is packed full of super-songs! "Zehnten Juni," "Kristallnach" (one of my all-time favorites), and of course "Verdammt lang her," among many others!
I heartily recommend this one to anyone -- BAP fan or not!
This album from the 1982/83 tour shows a band that loves to do gigs and is in good form. Live as live has to be.
And you don't just get to hear good hits - but also the stories behind some of those hits. E.g. in frontman Wolfgang Niedecken's introduction to »Weißte Noch?«.
Rock'n'roll songs like »Verdamp Lang Her« and »Frau, Ich Freu' Mich« are powerfully well-played, as are »Ahn'ner Leitplank« and the beautiful »Do Kanns Zaubre«. And as the crowd joins in on e.g. »Stell Dir Vüür«, you can really hear the live experience.
A recommendable disk to get to know BAP's older stuff too.
