I got the DVD so I could see Whitney Cummings. The television show "Whitney" is hilarious to me, and I love her love interest in it (Chris D'Elia), but I had no idea he was even on the disc. So imagine my disappointment when I didn't laugh once at Whitney but rewound Chris D'Elia's performance three times. I love physical comedy, and he gives it to me every time. I cried laughing during "Whitney" when he did his washed-jeans act but I didn't realize this was him all the time. His deer impersonation, his gangsta with a "Dora the Explorer" shirt and his German impersonation cracked me up. I really enjoyed him and would pay to see him live. Mike Young was really good, but either the audience was too drunk to get his humor or they just didn't have the same sense of humor I had (probably a little of both). Besides that, I wasn't into anybody. Some of the comedians were painful to watch (mainly the lady with the boy haircut and the Asian guy who constantly complained about women). Others were just boring. I'd give Whitney another shot on a comedy DVD but the rest? Not going to happen.
Side note: I totally understand why butt pads are so popular. These burlesque dancers didn't have even a hint of a booty. I went from shaking my head to just fast forwarding. I think some of them really need to invest in potatoes at least twice a year (not to become overweight but just enough so their thongs aren't borderline baggy). The Puerto Rican lady was cool to watch and so was the hula hoop lady, but clearly the burlesque dancers weren't there for the ladies. The fellas in the audience seemed to love them though.
