I have to disagree with the above post, the cd or cassette is of value only if you take action. If you listen and do nothing, well the investment in the tape will be like a waste of money, but if you take action, and change your beleifs, then anything in life is possible. Change your thinking (beliefs) you change your life.
I would by live with passion again, but just remember you only need one self help product, as they are pretty much all the same. Take action, for get about the past, its gone, work on yourself and you can change your world for the better.
You only fail in life, if you give up and dont try again, use this tape as a guide to changing your life.

I picked this up for 12 dollars at a flea market. I guess I should have used that a clue. This is the stupidest work I ever heard. He takes about 1 hour of material and stretches in into about six. I lived with passion when I threw it on the pavement and smashed it with my bat. Then I cursed at it. Then I went home and farted. That's passion!!

Please consider coming off the merry-go round of these gimmicky self help systems. Trying to manipulate yourself with these types of gimmicks don't really work. Why not? Let's look more closely at the situation:
Believe it or not your are Whole, right here and now, your Wholeness lies in knowing that you are neither your body nor even your mind. By trying to change or fix the mind, you only trip yourself up by continuing the illusion that you are the mind. If you did not identify with the thoughts in the mind, you would be free and experience Wholeness and the Oneness of life, then you would be free from all the COMPULSIVE chasing after goals and a slave to all your desires (attachments). A deep sense of abiding peace would set in.
All the "fix it" techniques keep you tripped up constantly. They focus on changing or fixing your mind, thoughts, attitudes etc. but, as I said, if you learn to rise above that and realize that you are beyond even the mind and discover your self as Pure Awareness itself, then what would you need to learn all the NLP/Robbins fix it techniques for? Your mind would be silent and you would live in your True state and learn to BE. The more you get hung up on manipulating the mind, the more lost you get.
Please look for some good meditation/Awareness techniques, that would be far more helpful. Just about the best book I've ever come across that explains this masterfully, in a very accessable, non-mystical fashion, is The Power Of Now by Eckhart Tolle, I highly recommend it.
Good Luck.

Great Stuff! Oct. 19 2004
By Cymry - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Audio CD
I've never been to a "Tony" event or read any of his books, but I'd heard about him from friends. One of them loaned me this tape set which I promptly left sitting on a shelf for 2 months. Getting around to listening to tapes isn't something I ordinarily do. It was getting to be a long time that I'd kept it, so I thought I'd listen to at least just a little bit of it before returning it. I was very pleasantly surprised!

This tape set is great! Once I was about 2 or 3 minutes into it, I knew I was going to enjoy the whole thing. Robbins is fascinating to listen to -- clearly a master presenter. But more than that, his approach is an energizing blend of sound NLP principles, compassion, encouragement to try new ways of thinking and experiencing, and uncommon good sense.

Robbins has a way of introducing ideas clearly, giving entertaining examples and stories, and providing thought experiments/exercises you can perform for yourself while you are listening to the tapes.

Now, it's easy to be cynical about this sort of thing, to pooh-pooh it, or to cite loftier goals such as total Buddhistic Enlightenment. But for those who haven't closed the doors on the possibility that there might be something of value in learning how to better use one's own mind, and for whom the next step in their personal progress isn't necessarily the Ultimate Nirvana, there are many ideas and fresh approaches in this tape set that could help a person, as a mere, imperfect human being, to get out of a rut or a stuck place and get life moving in a very positive direction -- as Robbins puts it -- with real passion.

If you begin with an attitude of self-exploration, an open mind, and the willingness to learn, there are some real jewels here.

Anthony Robbins will motivate you! Sept. 30 2005
By warcon - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Audio CD
I have never failed to be motivated by an AR cd

I disagree with the reviewer that said you only need 1 motivational CD, they are all the same, you just have to take action.

Yes, they are all the same basic principles, but I find personally that I need to hear it regularly to stay motivated and in that certain mindset. The more often you hear this stuff in more different ways (various CD's/speakers) the more you will be ingrained with a self-motivating script.

Yes you do have to take action, but i find that action can be more easily sustained on a fairly regular diet of motivational material. The brain is novelty seeking by nature, and a narrow, though repeated, range of exposure to anything (a single CD) will be habituated and lose effectiveness.

AWESOME series by Robbins Dec 24 2005
By Taylor Sherman - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Audio CD
I have many of the Tony Robbins tapes, because he's an awesome guy that everyone should listen to, but "Live with Passion!" is my favorite. It's also cheap, $20 for this program is a bargain. $50 would be a bargain. If you don't know much about Tony Robbins, this is a great place to start!

Solid Principles to Live By July 17 2007
By Jed C. Jones - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Audio CD
Tony Robbins has the gift of expressing concrete, easy-to-implement ideas that can make a difference in living a more fulfilling, successful life. Since listening to these CDs a few weeks ago, I have found myself spontaneously recalling some of the concepts he shared that have helped me face a challenge I was having at the time. In particular, the concepts of "Build a Relationship Bridge" for having patience with others during times of miscommunication has been very helpful. Also, the importance of carrying around a (properly-tempered) sense of "Certainty" in one's daily life as a pre-condition for success has been extremely useful. Some of his concepts seem self-apparent, but Mr. Robbins' charismatic delivery and excellent communication skills really drive them home.

I refrained from rating the set at 5 stars due to the multiple references to Mr. Robbins' seminars embedded throughout the recordings. However, in the end that was a small (additional) price to pay for the inspiration and extremely useful concepts that Mr. Robbins offers. I recommend this CD set highly.

Good material but much of it overlaps with his Power Talk CDs Aug. 21 2012
By Paul Thomas - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Audio CD
DISCLAIMER: As an admirer of Anthony Robbins' ideas and methodology I have purchased and listened to (or watched) nearly all of his products since 2003 and I feel that I have benefited greatly from each of them. However it should be noted for anyone that is thinking of purchasing any of his products for the first time that there is some overlap between his different CD sets. Tony's haters want you to believe it's because he is greedy but I think that's unfounded and it doesn't address or dispute the validity of Tony Robbins' ideas, only the packaging in which he markets them. Different products are simply intended to appeal to people with different needs or expectations. Some of the Robbins Research products are meant to be a quick crash-course or a very basic introduction to Tony's ideas/methods about a particular area of life where people are seeking greater success (see "The Edge" CD+DVD or "Anthony Robbins: Financial Freedom - 3 Steps to Creating and Enjoying the Wealth You Deserve" CD+DVD or "Energy for Life" CD+DVD). Other products are intended to serve as a structured course that involves listening to CDs or watching DVDs each day while journaling, answering questions or doing various mental, emotional or physical exercises. Good examples of the daily step-by-step products would be "Anthony Robbins' Personal Power, Classic Edition" or "Get The Edge : A 7 Days Program To Transform Your Life". And finally, there are the packaged volumes of "Anthony Robbins Power Talk (Creating a Change & Making it Last)" which were originally intended as a subscription item you received each month for one year, similar to an audio magazine. Each "Power Talk" (cassettes back in the 90's and reformatted for CD in the early 2000's) contains a talk given by Tony Robbins about a particular topic, usually about 35 to 60 minutes in length. The second CD or cassette (and sometimes a third!) always has an interview with someone that could be considered a top performer or highly successful in their chosen career. The Power Talk CDs also contain booklets with a monthly book summary for whatever other authors or titles Tony recently read and felt were worthy of promoting to his subscribers.

"Live With Passion" is a very good set of CDs and the information contained within is worthy of at least a four-star rating. The only reason I stop short of giving it five stars is because I had already heard about 90% of the material in the "Power Talk" series. "Live with Passion" is one of those shortened "crash course" products I mentioned above. It's meant to be a _affordable_ and quick introduction to Tony's methods. Most people could benefit greatly by listening to these recordings and learning about the basics of human behavior and what drives our desires and actions. If you think that sounds too simplistic to be beneficial or think you already know all that stuff on some academic level, I guarantee you do not. Why? Because if you are here looking at and considering buying a Tony Robbins' product it's because some level of contentment has eluded you thus far in your life. And if that is the case then there is something about your own psychology which you do not yet fully understand. Tony's ideas about "Human Needs Psychology" are the bedrock foundation upon which persons of any race, gender, religion/philosophy, sexual orientation, childhood, or education can build a life of achievement and deep meaningful fulfillment. What he teaches is rooted in psychology and neuroscience, not religion or mysticism, thus it is open and available to anyone willing to delve into their own mindset and challenge any beliefs that might be holding them back in life.

"Live with Passion" can also provide new listeners with a good sense of whether or not Tony's personality, manner of presentation, stories and analogies will energize them or if for some reason it turns them off. Whatever the case there is no doubt in my mind that _anyone_ that bothers to carefully listen to all 6 discs will not be able to deny that Tony Robbins is the real deal and he is passionately committed to helping people that are suffering or unhappy with the trajectory of their life. His passion, intensity, energy, empathy and even his silly or corny sense of humor are one hundred percent genuine. Straight up, no BS, the man truly cares. His delivery might not ignite every single individual but the fundamentals of what he teaches are intended for anyone and everyone.

If you purchase this product and enjoy it I'm sure you will want to delve deeper and further investigate Tony's ideas in greater detail. Just remember that there is going to be some overlap between this CD set and several volumes of the "Power Talk" CDs. But by purchasing the individual "Power Talk" CDs you also get some truly fantastic interviews with fascinating people that have great stories, insights, wisdom and humor to share. Personally, the interviews have always been my favorite part out of all of his products, but that's just me. I hope this review will be helpful to others and that it will steer folks in the right direction when they are thinking of purchasing any of Tony's awesome recordings or videos. :)
