Absolutely spectacular concert by Le Orme, filmed and recorded at the 2005 NearFest. Here as on their other live concert recordings they are at their best with energy, precision and maturity never captured on their studio albums. This is a 2-CD + DVD set totalling about 90 minutes. The CDs follow the DVD exactly, the sound is superb and identical from both. Take note, the DVD is PAL format, US buyers will need a multi-region DVD player to watch it.
The first 5 tracks are from their latest (at the time), superb CD L'Infinito, then from their classic 70's albums Uomo Di Pezza (3 tracks), Collage (1 track). The remainder of the concert and the entire 2nd CD is dedicated to performance of their masterpiece album Felona e Sorona in its entirety.
Only those who were present know what else they played at this concert, but this set is a superb chronicle of the event. Sadly bassist Aldo Tagliapietra reached the golden age of 65 and retired from the band in 2010. Michi Di Rossi and Michele Bon continue on with other musicians, but this set captures them at their peak, perhaps never to be surpassed.

I have already given a review but here goes, the item is excellent in all respects. The packaging though should clearly state
on the back that the DVD is PAL (not a problem for my player) and Region 0. I received no assistance from the seller on finding this out before it arrived at my house

this is a big italian group. werever you want to analiza it is like a strong piece of the past. the concert is very good, but the voice of aldo tagliapietra is now sixties, he can not support the air efort, but he continue with this melancolic epic atmosphere in his voice.
The albun is just an estandar quallity of recording but it is ok, the selection is good and the interpretation majestic.
The DVD is PAL, be aware.
All the interpretations are up to be exellent, with more time and space than in the original recording , even the great finale "ritorno al nulla", is as good but different than the original.
a collection to be in your library
