EMOTION ! EMOTION! EMOTION!,

This review is from: Live At Royal Albert Hall [Blu-ray] (Blu-ray)
If i had to pick 5 dvds that i would want on a desert island this would be one them .If i had to pick 3,this would be one of them. Do you know what i mean now.Money not thrown away especially now a days.Tha'ts Telling the Truth. This is a mature ,professional, emotional, spontanious performance on dvd . Eric,Jack and Ginger are so tight and flawless . The sound and visuals are excelent.Just as it was in the Eric and Steve Winwood Blue Ray. To finally have it on Blue-Ray is way overdue.Should have been realesed long time ago. This is what us fans really want. Can't the companies get that in their heads. Sorry to say Record Companies are also playig a game .They want us to buy something twice.First the regular dvd then the Blue Ray. Eric and Wynton Marsalis was just released recently and no Blue -Ray .Do we have to wait 2 years for that .Fact being record companies are greedy and make you pay for something twice. Eric is a true legend today forever and always. All his performances are filmed now at all his concerts .Example Eric and Allman Brothers ,Eric and Jeff Beck .These are real jems in the waiting. How much longer do we have to wait for those shows ? I wonder sometime. You will Enjoy - Forever!!!!!

Thank God they did this (and I DON'T mean Eric Clapton!). Cream was captured live on audio very well in 60's but the only live video is the execrable "Farewell Concert" (which you can totally forget about). This video captures the band in fine form...they are as good as they were in the 60's which is astonishing when you consider the passage of years. Jack Bruce drives Eric Clapton to levels we haven't seen since 1969 and it reminds us why he was referred to as God in his heydey. Cream plays virtually every song in their catalogue (even "Pressed Rat and Warthog"!) and, if that wasn't enough, they add a NEW Cream song to the canon, a superb "Stormy Monday" sung by Eric Claption. This is one of the best videos in my collection and I treasure owning it. I wish something more had come out of this one-off reunion but I'm very happy that they got this right!

OK, don't want to overstate things but for me (teen in the 60-70's) firmly attached to middle age this is my #1 concert video. If you were a Cream fan, or Rock & Roll fan from that time frame you will love this video. Clear picture, great sound and as the boys said in the video something along to the "we are going to play everything we know" and all of the best of Cream definitely comes to the top.

I have been waiting for this blue ray to come out for 3 yrs. and finally one of the most dynamic live rock videos is here. The sound, lighting of this recording is the best I have heard and seen out of ANY blue ray concert. I grew up with the 80s music, never had the pleasure to appreciate CREAM, now I know why they called themselves CREAM.
