The Logitech G35 is probably one of the smartest things I have ever purchased. When you first listen to anything using these headphones, you'll catch yourself checking to make sure your external speakers aren't on. I also own Logitech's Z5500 surround speakers, and I must say at times I find it's a hard decision as to which I would prefer to listen to music with. The surround feature makes music sound fantastic, works great on Blu-Ray movies and any movie files with a high bitrate surround source. In stereo, the sound quality matches any $300+ valued headset on the market.

The only down side to this headset so far has been microphone positioning. I find with the boom fully lowered (at mouth level), the sound pickup functions rather poorly. The pickup seems to be angled-down slightly, so ideal mic placement is slightly above the mouth.

I purchased this headset after Christmas and received it within a week or so. This headset does not run off your built-in cards in your computer and you have to install some software that installs the drivers. This is a painless process and is easy to perform. The headset is very comfortable to wear for hours on end and the mic conveniently folds up out of the way and is automatically muted in this position. I highly recommend this product as it is hard to find a good gaming headset for under $100 and this performs beautifully.

Sound Quality is Excellent works great for games and movies.

They do work on mac but none of the features will work like bindable buttons all it would do on mac is launch itunes and change songs. I'm also unaware of any drivers for mac.

My 16 yr old Tech Savy PC Gamer son required a new headset to replace his "Turtle Beach" Headset. As with any other tech purchase, my son does a fair amount of groundwork/research prior to purchasing. He is very frugal and when he does make a purchase he makes sure it is the right purchase. The Logitech G35 7.1 did not disappoint! They met and even exceeded his expectations. In his words, they are "so freaking awesome".
Not to mention, once he confirmed he wanted this headset, Amazon.ca was the best price. We selected the "free shipping" option and he received it in 3 days I think. And we live in the country just outside a small city with a pop of approx. 18,000.

Within 3 years of purchasing, the left earpiece snapped on me twice. Logitech warranty is good with the replacement, pre-paid labels and shipping all covered. Still a hassle and nonetheless cheap construction

    Pros:
    - Great sound
    - Great microphone (people on the other end tell me it's crisp sound)
    - Buttons on the headphones are great too! Such as volume control, mute, etc.
    - Logitech warranty is good, they replaced my stuff fairly quickly every time it broke.

    Cons:

    - Wires tangle and it's extremely annoying.
    - Cheap construction: The left earpiece snapped on me twice.
    - Heavier than your typical headphones

Update: 1 star - The support sucks now. Facebook, email and website provided no reply for my warranty claim this time.

The mic is excellent, as is the surround sound. Stereo sound is alright but not great. Buttons on the side are surprisingly handy, scroll bar for volume works well.

I've owned these headphones for 4+ years and have to say it was one of the best computer/gaming related purchases I've made. These headphones survived plenty of drops, dogs and heavy use over the years and it was only recently that one of the ear-cups fell off and since it was the non-microphone side they're still usable (NFL headcoach style). I didn't even bother reviewing newer headsets I just reordered the G35. The sound quality. durability and functionality are exceptional given the cost presenting you with wonderful value.
