The tracking abilities of this mouse are simply amazing. I use it on all sorts of different surfaces regularly (it's paired to a laptop) including but not limited to: Microsuede Lazyboy arm, bumpy fabric arm (on another recliner!), glass table top, oak table top, regular cheap melamine desktop at school, canvas pantleg - you name, this mouse works on it.
The shape fits my hand very nicely, the scroll wheel having two options (one that is totally smooth with no click roll and one where it's got a clickiness that keeps you from scrolling too quickly) is very nice and easily selectable. The forward and back buttons are nicely placed and fall easily to your thumb for use. The actual click action of the main buttons is very nice.
Battery life is quite decent, I can't really tell you specifically how long it is, but that should indicate it's not too short! The receiver is great because it's so tiny, I just leave it in my laptop all the time.
In short, aside from price, there is really nothing I'd change about this mouse!
Incredible product, I can't think of any better. Oh, on top of it all, it comes with an excellent warranty as well as a beautiful little leather pouch for traveling (did I mention it's the prefect size :-), not a tiny bluetooth mouse that hardly fits into your hand, and not a huge mouse for inside only use, it's the perfect middle).
Hope my review was helpful.
That feature also means a non-traditional MMB. The button is below the wheel. Works fine, but takes some getting used to.
The arrow keys on the side (for going forward and back) work great on Windows, not at all on Linux, and OS X decided to treat them like MMB (but I'm told that one is Apple's fault).
Battery life is average. Nothing special, but nothing bad. Otherwise works as expected.
It's a little on the heavy side with two batteries, but that does give it a solid feel. You can operate it with only one battery if this is a problem. It discriminates slightly for left-handed users are there are a couple of customizable buttons that are used by your right-hand thumb. A lefty could use their ring finger as an inferior substitute. I don't care too much about the extra buttons so that's a non issue for me.
It's a very nice product worthy of a 5 Star rating.

It had a crazy ghost clicking issue, which other people are complaining about as well.
The scroll wheel was very nice, too bad about the ghost clicking issue.
It has held up well over the past 1.5 years. Only thing is that it really eats batteries. Not sure if this has something to do with my configuration, but other Logitech mice with... Read morePublished 10 months ago by Nik
This is by far the best value wireless mouse on the market. Battery lasts approximately 1-2 months.Published 11 months ago by Hari Eswaran
Even my large hands like it very much. It is incredibly reliable, easy to carry around and versatile with its 7 buttons.Published 12 months ago by Madeck
Small, but fits my large hands. Works on one or two batteries. Really does operate on nearly any surface, even where all other mice fail. Nice scroll wheel. Read morePublished 14 months ago by T. Vanderhoek
This mouse works everywhere. I use it on a glass table and it performs. Battery life is a bit lower than what they advertise it for.Published 24 months ago by STEPHANE MALO
Not as elegant as the Apple Magic Mouse it replaces, but at least it works :) My Magic Mouse stopped tracking and regularly connected and disconnected to my desktop - apparently a... Read morePublished on Dec 30 2013 by Graemespicer
