4.0 out of 5 stars Fine mouse, until it broke March 3 2012
By Mark
My previous mouse, an MX500, worked great, and when it gave out after a few years, I replaced it with this one, bought from another retailer. It was a reasonably good replacement. After about two months, the left mouse button developed doubleclickitis, meaning that sometimes it would click once as intended, but mostly it would doubleclick. I had long tossed my box and receipt, so I couldn't return it.

It is a good mouse, although not as comfortable as the MX500, but you can get the occasional lemon.

Update: I found a video on Youtube that showed a very simple way of correcting the double-click problem: Simply slam it on your desk. I would not recommend this for a flawlessly working mouse, but if you're on the verge of replacing it, you have little to lose. Since I tried this remedy, my mouse has been working very satisfactorily.

1.0 out of 5 stars Refurbished Units being sold as new Aug. 13 2012

Not much else to say, just got this and found out it was a refurb based on the VISIBLE use on the mouse buttons and underside of the mouse.

Would not recommend, not sure if this is Amazon or Logitech's repackaging.

1.0 out of 5 stars Junk Feb. 21 2012
Verified Purchase
This product does not deserve to be called a gaming mouse. I purchased one and after 50 hour of Diablo 3 the left click button was dead and the mouse started double clicking on everything. I talk to a Logitech person and he told me that they had to cut corners in order to compete with other gaming mouse. it was nice of the Amazon people to give me a refund and I purchased a MadCatz Cyborg MMO7 now that is a real gaming mouse, granted it is worth 3 time the price of this mouse but for serious gamers this G500 is junk. If you Google G500 double clicking you will find thousands of hits on how cheap the internals of this mouse is and how many people had to return this product. i will never purchase a Logitech product again. For the normal person who just want to check email and do a bit of surfing it is a good mouse, for gaming forget about it. I say spend the money and buy a superb mouse like the Cyborg MMO7 made with real sturdy components.

1.0 out of 5 stars Do not buy this mouse Jan. 26 2013

Ordered the mouse December 2011. 6 months later, June 2012, left click button starts making random double-clicks. Amazon raplaced me the same mouse at no charge.

Right now, 8 months later, still having the same issue.

Left-click buttoon issue makes gaming impossible or very difficult for obvious reasons. Also, drag, moving icons, opening file, navigate in Windows is now very diffcult with the Logitech G500 Gaming Mouse.

Now, Amazon just confirmed me I have to contact Logitech myself and deal with them directly...

A mouse at this price should last for many years. I'm just a casual gamer, the mouse hasn't been used intensively at all. It looks brand new, no dust, no damage, I'm the only one using it. I always used the mouse with great care.

I do not recommend it at all. Don't buy this item.

3.0 out of 5 stars Bon produit mais pas de logiciel pour Mac OS Dec 9 2011
By Jacques

1.0 out of 5 stars Awful Jan. 30 2014
I don't understand why Logitech discontinued the G300. It was a FAR superior mouse, in terms of build quality. As for useability and functionality as a gaming mouse, the G300 had the buttons that all gamers want and was far more customizable. These are junk compared to the G300.

Awesome mouse, I use it a lot for Counter-Strike and the customization of the DPI settings and buttons make this a perfect gaming mouse. Shipping was fast as well took 2 days.

Upgraded from a Mx-518.

5.0 out of 5 stars My favourite gaming mouse Nov. 26 2013

I play WoW. I've tried other gaming mice, but none have felt as comfortable as this one. Logitech software lets you customise what each button does depending on the game/program. When my last one wore out (after several years of use), I bought a second. Great mouse.

1.0 out of 5 stars Do NOT use as a gaming mouse!
I own a couple of these, as I thought it was great at the start. About a year in, the mouse will suffer frequent disconnects though! Read more

5.0 out of 5 stars Would buy again
This mouse is awesome. The added weights don't do much for me personally as the mouse is fairly hefty on its own. I am on my 2nd one of these mice, and I would buy another one.

4.0 out of 5 stars Pretty nice
I use it as a gamer for RTS and FPS (Cod, bf3, etc etc.) and it works pretty well. Logitech always worth it when you're a real gamer

2.0 out of 5 stars A downgrade from the G5
I've been playing with a G5 for over 5 years. Incredibly perfect, durable, well built mouse. The only criticism was the lone thumb button. Read more
