Smooth movement. buttons are easy to reach and press.
Everything is in reach and I don't have to stretch my fingers at all.
in FPS games my aiming is smooth and quick. On the fly dpi change helps a lot.
Very good all around. Will buy again if something happens.

If you loved the MX500, MX510 or MX518, then this is a very safe bet. It is physically exactly the same as these models except the specs have been upgraded yet again. Frankly, the original MX500 was more than good enough for me, including for gaming, and it lasted almost 10 years (left click pushbutton is all that went wrong with my MX500). So the upgrades in resolution, sample rate, and software are just a plus that comes with nearly a decade of advancement. The interface with your hand is the same "tried and true," "Battle Tested" (as Logitech puts it) configuration. Weight is nearly the same if not a little lighter than the 500, and the construction seems equally solid, so it doesn't look as though Logitech has at all 'cheaped out' on the quality. Only time will tell...

I have to say I didn't realize there were so many gamers who loved this mouse (which originally wasn't marketed as a "Gaming Mouse"), But I'm really glad Logitech has decided to keep bringing this mouse back because it is the only mouse I know how to use, especially for gaming! If you're looking for a solid gaming mouse or you just want a new freakin' MX500/510/518 then go for this. You will love it!

Great mouse, I have larger hands and it suits my needs as far as the extra buttons and overall quality.
1.0 out of 5 stars A disgrace to Logitech mice. Dec 26 2012

Got this mouse to replace my MX518 (only because it was damaged). Expected it to perform as good or better than the MX518. Boy was I wrong. The mouse is completely over sensitive regardless of whether you adjust the dpi settings or not. It just has a terrible feel and if you play First Person Shooters you will despise it for tracking enemies; it makes it nearly impossible because of how inaccurate it is. Not to mention, the right click was significantly damaged within a couple of months of playing League of Legends. Making it next to useless in MOBA style games.

Ended up grabbing a nice custom MX518 off of eBay. Couldn't be any happier with. Avoid this mouse, it's a joke and definitely not a replacement for the 518.
