Despite what the previous reviewer said, there is no issue with regards to Linux drivers, just plug it in and it works. It will automatically show up as Logitech USB Headset. Even the volume control (which is a USB HID control that actually adjusts the computer volume, not just a variable resistor) woks flawlessly just by plugging it in.

In this case setup was much easier in Linux than in Windows.

This is the lowest-cost USB headset that I know works with Windows XP/7, OSX, and Ubuntu without any issues or driver complications. Comfortable too.

Working well for work conferencing purposes for the last 18 months. I like that the ear pads are leather covered on the front and sturdy fabric on the back, not simple foam (which shreds pretty quickly in my experience). I've travelled with mine and it's stood up to that. Controls are easy to use. No drivers required on Windows 7 64bit.

Would happily get another if I had to, but I don't see this one breaking soon.

plug and play replacement for earlier model i used with dragon naturally speaking. seems to work well without any obvious "re-learning" on the part of the software. ear cups smaller than previous model and only cover half the ear but havent decided whether that is a problem. Previous model broke when i tugged on usb plug sideways, seems to be a perennial issue with usb headphones

Works fine on Windows 7 Home 64-bit. My old Logitech headset was a different model but similar style, and worked great for about a year before the mic failed. This H390 replacement does not advertise support for Windows 7 but seems to work fine on my laptop. Drivers installed automatically and all is well.

Headset is used mainly for VOIP calls and quality seems fine. $40 price is justified.

I use this headset for Skype to keep my hands free and it is a very good overall unit. I can hear the other person clearly and they all say I come through very clear as well....what more can you ask? Go ahead and buy one...you'll love it

I love this headset. As far as USB headsets go, this is my favourite. I have had this headset for almost 10 years and the only issue I've had is the "pleather" on the ear pieces shredding. As far as most headsets go, it's a miracle that's the only issue after so long. It's comfortable, easy to set up and has a mute button/volume control in an easy to find place.

I use a headset daily because I work from home with a soft phone. I am constantly on conference calls and using it. The plantronics headsets my employer gives me usually only last several months before it just stops working - the last only lasted a week. I always go back to my personal Logitech headset that I've had for 10 years.

I recently purchased another as a backup - in case something does happen to my old headset. I've no reason to think something will except the amount of time that's passed since I initially purchased it.

I use this headset for business calls and am told the microphone quality is excellent. I find the speakers to be great for voice and good for music and effects. Obviously these are not reference headphones, but they are not lacking anything I need. I don't need booty bass, but there is some bass. I love the in-line mute and volume controls.

Minus one star because the headband is really tight out of the box. It hurts to wear it for longer than 15 minutes. So I constructed a special headband stretching apparatus (my couch pillow) to hold the headset in place with 18 inches space from ear to ear. More than this and I'd be risking snapping the band. I left it like this for about a week. Now the headset fits comfortably, with no pressure on my ears.

If I need another headset, I'd buy this one again.
