I got this mouse to be able to use the BlueTooth radio embedded in my work laptop. It's small enough to carry around, yet very comfortable for daily use. Not that while I ordered from a page that showed the blue model, I received the white "for Macs" model - doesn't really matter, they are the same.
Connection to the computer was quite simple as I use Ubuntu - in XP it was a little more complicated, but finally it worked and has been ever since. As soon as the computer is booted up (in both OSes), the mouse gets recognized and works; immediately in the case of XP, and after logon with Linux, which is normal as the BlueTooth stack is loaded after logging in your account.
The V470 is very precise, works on most surfaces, even some which are quite reflective, but not on glass evidently. Battery life should be good, my girlfriend has a VX Nano which has been running for over a year with the same AAs in it. The V470 also comes with a small pouch for storage.
The 0only "con" is that it goes to sleep regularly. After reading for some time, you move it and it doesn't move the cursor immediately. It wakes up, and then moves it, which makes for jerky operation when that happens. I got used to it, and it doesn't bother me anymore. My guess is that battery life is protected that way.

I bought this mouse because I read from reviews from Amazon.com that it works with Macs (Windows users please refer to Amazon.com reviews of this product Logitech V470 Bluetooth Cordless Laser Mouse for Notebooks - White. I have a Intel Core 2 Duo Macbook and and iMac G5 both running Leopard. I have used it with both my Macs and it works great.
This is the first Bluetooth mouse that I have ever used. However, compared to other optical mice and wireless mice I have used, I like this mouse the best. The size of the mouse is slightly small for my smallish hands but is still a comfortable size for long uses. I usually use it for extended periods during the day. It is an ideal size for a travel mouse.
The included Logitech software allows for customization of the buttons for left and right hand use and also of the scroll speeds and other fine-tuning of the mouse. It also shows the battery level. But best of all, the mouse scroll wheel doubles up as a button with center press, left and right tilt function. The function that each of these actions perform can also be customized in the software. I use it for page forward (cmd+]), back (cmd+[), which work for Safari and Firefox and the center press for close window (cmd+w), which works for tabs and all applications.
The mouse has an on/off slide button which is useful as well. That way the mouse doesn't wake up my MacBook from sleep because of accidental clicks when traveling or commuting.
So far I have only had one incidence a few days after I started using the mouse. The mouse stopped communicating with my MacBook and I had to re-connect the Bluetooth device. I've never had to do this again and it has worked perfectly ever since.
Overall, I think it is a good buy for an entry-level Bluetooth mouse, especially for Mac users.
