This review is from: Logitech Wireless Headset F540 with Stereo Game Audio (Personal Computers)
I purchased these to use while working. I'm not an audiophile nor worried about FPS gaming so I can't comment on the audio quality but it seems decent enough. I tried a number of gaming headsets as I was looking for wireless, an integrated microphone and isolation from ambient noise. I tried a few headset before selecting the F540s.For my purpose the Ear Force PX5 Programmable Wireless 7.1 Dolby Digital Surround Sound Headset + Bluetooth didn't offer enough isolation from ambient noise. Being able to connect my cell phone via Bluetooth would have cool feature. The Logitech Wireless Gaming Headset G930, is very similar to the F540s, it adds 7.1 surround sound but only works via a USB dongle. I prefer the 540s because they are cheaper and will work with regular audio devices, eg iPod. The fit and finish of the 540s feels slightly cheaper than the G930s but otherwise they are physically very similar. I didn't realize before purchasing but you can use the PS3 USB connection with a PC, allowing the microphone and audio to work with both Linux (12.04) and Windows 7.

The F540 headset is amazingly sturdy, comfortable and sounds far better than wired headsets I've owned but you must take note of two things when looking to purchase these.-These are not supported for PC use and seem to conflict with the generic audio drivers assigned by windows causing disconnects, there are no driver options available through Logitech. -Regardless of platform the mic audio is played back through the headphones without an option to turn it off, intended to make players aware of how loud they are. I intended to use these primarily for PC and assumed the only differences between these and the G930s were the G-keys but found no support for PC and forced mic feedback. For those looking for a PC headset look into Logitech Wireless Gaming Headset G930

This headset rocks...nothing more needed to be said !!! Everything you could hope for & need in a headset. Easy set up, great sound, great for PS3 or Xbox, or even your computer. Sound was so good with this headset when playing games I heard footsteps in the head set that made me turn my head to see if someone was behind me......just amazing !!!
